Here’s Who The Wexford Senior Hurlers Could Face In The Qualifiers

Wexford lost out to Kilkenny on Saturday after extra time…

After their loss to Kilkenny after extra time in the Leinster semi-final, Wexford will now be placed into the hurling qualifiers.

There are two rounds in the qualifiers and Wexford can be drawn into Round 1 or Round 2.

If they’re drawn into Round 1, Wexford can face a Munster Championship team. They cannot face Galway or the preliminary Round winner (Antrim/Laois) in Round 1.

Clare, Waterford, Cork.

If they’re drawn into Round 2, Wexford will face one of the two winners from Round 1.

They can face Galway, Clare, Waterford, Cork, or the winner of Antrim and Laois. They can only draw Antrim/Laois if Antrim/Laois defeats a Munster Championship team in Round 1.

The draw will take place next Monday, July 12th on Morning Ireland, RTE.

If Wexford are drawn into Round 1, they will be out that weekend on the 17th or 18th July. If they’re drawn into Round 2, they’ll be out Saturday, July 24.
