Another boil water notice has been issued for Gorey locals…

Due to issues at the water treatment plant which may have compromised water quality, and following consultation with the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and Wexford County Council are issuing a Boil Water Notice with immediate effect to protect the health of consumers.

This notice applies to all consumers on the Gorey (Creagh) Urban Public Water Supply.

All consumers affected by this notice must boil their water before drinking.

The new boil water notice comes after recent controversy in Gorey surrounding a boil water notice. Dozens of Gorey individuals are currently preparing court cases against Irish Water.

The new boil notice for Gorey also comes directly after a boil notice existed for five days in Wexford town which affected 25,000 customers last Thursday (21 Oct) to Tuesday (26 Oct) this week.
