It was a Christmas Day to forget for many people living in County Wexford.
Floods devastated communities, businesses and houses.
This morning, Wexford’s County Council shared some more devastating news. They shared videos of two separate incidents of another two bridges collapsing in the county.
Weather warnings were in place across the country, and floods have been reported in an array of places across County Wexford too.
Many have criticised Met Éireann for their lack of foresight, also questioning how Wexford remained under a Yellow Warning only on Christmas Day.
A video, uploaded by Marc Stafford, shows the extent of the flooding in Little Cullenstown in the Foulksmills area of Wexford. Enniscorthy town was badly hit with floods again, Bridgetown had their worst flood in over 50 years, while some premises were overrun with water, including the interior.
With Enniscorthy impacted by the floods again, anger was sparked online over Enniscorthy’s Flood Relief Plan, and the lack of one.
Government funding will be provided for businesses and people badly impacted by the floods, but for many, this was a Christmas Day to forget.
