Three Wexford Camogie Players Named On ‘Soaring Stars’ Team Of The Year

An awards night for the Camogie Association took place last night…

Both the All-Star team of the year and the ‘Soaring Stars’ team of the year were revealed.

Wexford picked up three ‘Soaring Stars’ awards after a successful outing in the 2021 All-Ireland Junior Championship, which saw them win the competition.

Wexford’s Aideen Brennan, Chloe Cashe, and Ciara Banville all claimed awards at the event which took place at the Osprey Hotel in Nass last night.

The 2021 All-Ireland Camogie Intermediate Champions, Antrim, picked up the most awards on the Soaring Stars team, with six players selected.

In other good news, Wexford’s Chloe Cashe was then selected as the Junior Players’ Player of the Year.

Speaking at the event, Camogie Association president Hilda Breslin said:

“Congratulations to all our winning players and to all our nominees on this wonderful recognition for your efforts in your county shirt last year. It is a proud achievement to be recognised for your performances at the highest level and I hope tonight’s achievement inspires you all to continue lighting the way for the sport and for future generations.”
