Enniscorthy’s Maria Nolan Releases Her Second Novel

Enniscorthy’s Maria Nolan has just released her second novel…

Her first novel, which was released in March 2021, was entitled The Shadow on the Hill.

Her new novel is entitled The Shadow of Freedom and it’s a sequel to her first novel.

The book is set in the town of Enniscorthy and follows the story of the McDonald family of No. 8 Court Street of Enniscorthy.

The book, which is historical fiction, is based in Enniscorthy during the time of the War of Independence in Ireland and during the Irish Civil War period, 1912 to 1922.

The book was launched last Wednesday night at the Presentation Arts Centre in Wexford.

“I’d like to thank everyone for the huge support I’ve received already,” Maria said.

Books are currently available at Easons stores throughout Wexford, while it’s also available to purchase online on Amazon.
