Wexford Business Features On Food Network UK TV Programme

There are a lot of great things about Wexford…

However, for many, there’s nothing more like Wexford than Wexford strawberries.

A Wexford business recently featured on John Torode’s new series on Food Network UK “John Torode’s Ireland” where he showcases the best of Irish food.

Wheelock’s Berry Farm, also known as ‘The Village at Wheelocks’, featured on last night’s show, which was the third episode in the series.

In the episode, Torode first made a visit to Wexford where he stopped at a strawberry hut just outside of Enniscorthy town.

Here, he spoke to owners, both Margaret and Cyril Wheelock who then invited Torode to go over to their strawberry farm where he could “pick his own” strawberries. They explained the growing process, that they have over 100 thousand plants planted, and even gave him tips to pick the perfect strawberry.

The delighted owners shared a short clip of the show on their own social media channels.

The business stated that they “were honoured that he visited our farm and tasted our Strawberries.”

The full episode can now be viewed on Discovery+.
