A man aged in his 30s died following a crash in Wexford…
The man was fatally injured when the car he was a passenger in collided with a tree. The man was then pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred in the townland of Bargy Commons, Cleariestown, Co. Wexford on the R733 at approximately 10.40pm on Sunday night (August 14th).
His body was removed from the scene to Waterford General Hospital for a post-mortem.
The victim of the crash has been named locally as Ronan Fitzpatrick.
Mr Fitzpatrick was a 31-year old from the Saltmills area of New Ross, Wexford. He has been described as a “gentle soul”, “a gentleman” and a “happy presence” that will be sorely missed.
His funeral details have since been announced on RIP.ie.
Reposing at his residence on Thursday 18th August from 3pm – 9pm. Removal on Friday 19th August to The Church of The Holy Spirit, St Leonards arriving for funeral mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
