It won’t be long now until the Allianz Hurling Leagues are underway…
There is a lot to look forward to and the draft Allianz League fixtures have been sent to each county.
One aspect that many Wexford people will be looking forward to is attending some of Wexford’s Allianz Hurling League games undelights at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Saturday evening games under lights are likely to be a common feature this year.
While these are just draft fixtures, Wexford are expected to open their campaign to Galway at home which will take place under lights. This is provisionally down to take place in Chadwicks Wexford Park on Saturday, Feb 4th.
Cork will host Limerick in their opening game on the same day.
Wexford are set to also face Limerick, Cork, Clare and newly promoted Westmeath in Division 1 A of the Allianz Hurling League for 2023.
All League fixtures are provisional at this stage and will be formally ratified in the coming weeks as Croke Park officials finalise the revised 2023 inter-county calendar.
Ahead of the Allianz Hurling League, the Wexford Senior hurlers will take part in the Walsh Cup. It is envisaged that Wexford will play Kilkenny at home on January 21st, which will be the formal opening of the new lights at Wexford Park.
