Watch: Wexford Teenager Receives Hero’s Welcome On Return To School After Crowned World Champion

A Wexford student returned to school recently after being crowned a World Champion…

Gorey native, TJ Redmond, was crowned a World Champion in Kickboxing in the 75kg category two weeks ago.

He brought back the Gold medal to his country, his county, and his town.

His school, Creagh College, recognised his brilliant achievement and gave TJ a hero’s welcome on his return to the grounds. TJ is currently a 6th year student in the school and also acts as a 6th Year prefect, which promotes leadership capacity amongst students at post-primary level.

All of the students in the school were taken out of class to welcome TJ back to the school and to applaud his World Championship success.
