Wexford County Council have issued a warning about jellyfish present across Wexford…
Wexford County Council issued a warning on Tuesday 13th December.
Portuguese Man O’War jellyfish have been spotted across Wexford beaches, however, the specific beaches that they were spotted at have not been noted in the warning.
The jellyfish have the potential to inflict severe stinging pain.

Although there will not be many people going swimming these days with the cold and freezing conditions, Wexford County Council have noted that the “jellyfish can present both on the shore and in the water.”
With Christmas swims set to take place over the Festive period, the public are advised to take caution.
