Wexford’s Tadhg Furlong Identifies One Former Irish Rugby Player That He Would Love To Meet

Wexford’s Tadhg Furlong recently sat down for a relaxed interview with World Rugby…

Growing up, Furlong was inspired by a lot of players, but he was particularly drawn to Munster players Keith Wood, Peter Clohessy, and Mick Galway.

Another person he said he “loved” was former Irish rugby star, John Hayes.

“I loved John Hayes when I was growing up because he was a farmer too, and a tight-head prop too. I’ve never met John Hayes. It’s one person in rugby that I’d love to meet. I’d always love to meet with him and just shoot the breeze,” Furlong told World Rugby.
