Wexford’s 2023 season is gearing up to be an exciting one going by their recent signings. The League of Ireland’s First Division outfit recently confirmed the addition of Danny Furlong as they seek to improve their 6th-place finish in the 2022 season…
Besides Furlong, Wexford FC has also added young talent in Harry Curtis and Sean Fitzpatrick. Danny’s return is unique, as it marks his second stint at the club after nearly a four-year absence.
During his first stint with the Slaneysiders, he won the 2015 First Division title for Wexford Youths. He later joined the first-team squad under Brian O’Sullivan in 2019. However, Furlong’s outing with Wexford FC was short-lived, as he returned to the junior ranks at Wexford, plying his trade with North End United and Rosslare Rangers.
With the 2023 season expected to be more competitive than its predecessor, it’ll be up to Furlong and his compatriots to hit the ground running.
Exciting games will spice up the action for football fans, who can take advantage of the new betting sites in the market. From Goals Over/Under and Draw-No-Bet to daring betting markets like Outright League Winner, punters will have diverse betting options.
Furlong also played for Cork City and Galway United in the League of Ireland and is expected to bring valuable experience to the squad. Another potential addition is Bastien Hery, on trial at the club following brief spells at Galway United and Finn Harps.
