One Wexford Hurler Named On GAA.ie’s Hurling Team Of The Week

Wexford defeated Antrim in Chadwicks Wexford Park last Saturday

One Wexford hurler has been named on the GAA.ie Hurling Team of the Week.

St Martins club man, Rory O’Connor, has been named as half-forward on the star-studded team following his brilliant performance against the Saffrons.

O’Connor, who roamed around the full-forward line for most of the game, slotted over seven points from open play.

Wexford fans will be hoping that O’Connor produces a similar performance against the Dubs this weekend.

Jack O’Connor may feel somewhat hard done-by too, having performed excellently before being taken off to a rousing applause by the Wexford supporters in the final quarter of the game.

Wexford will take on Dublin this Saturday in Croke Park at 5pm. It’s a huge game for both teams; a win is needed to keep both Wexford’s and Dublin’s Leinster Championship hopes alive.
