There is a lot of excitement building for this production…
The Gorey Little Theatre will be delivering a play production of Roddy Doyle’s renowned novel, The Snapper.
The plot revolves around unmarried Sharon Rabbitte’s pregnancy, and the unexpected effects this has on her conservative, working-class family from Dublin.
There will be multiple shows that people can attend. The Snapper will take place every Tuesday and every Thursday in the Gorey Little Theatre for the whole month of August, with the curtains opening at 8pm sharp.
The play will be directed by Gorey native Stephen Acton.
The full cast for the play has also been announced after a series of auditions which took place last month. Tonya Swayne will take on the lead role of Sharon Rabbitte.
