Watch: Relive The Unbelievable Comeback By Wexford V Meath In 2008

Like all GAA fans, Wexford fans appreciate and cherish moments of greatness. One moment of Wexford GAA greatness came in the summer of 2008.

With super-human scores from Mattie Forde and Ciaran Lyng, the 2008 comeback against Meath in the Leinster championship will be forever in our memories.

Trailing the majority of the match by 10 points, the game seemed dead and buried. However, the fans and the players never stopped believing and in the end, they reaped the rewards from their persistence and never say die attitude.

That year, Wexford went on to beat Down and Armagh, before closely losing out to Tyrone in the All-Ireland semi-final in Croke Park in what was truly a remarkable year for the Wexford footballers.
