A Cracking Eight Wexford Players Nominated For All-Star Hurling Awards

Eight Wexford hurlers have been nominated for the PwC AllStar Awards…

The Wexford players nominated for the awards are:

Backs:
Matt O’Hanlon, Liam Ryan and Paudie Foley

Midfield:
Dee O’Keeffe and Kevin Foley

Forwards:
Rory O’Connor, Conor McDonald and Lee Chin.

Two players spring to mind who should consider themselves unlucky not to receive, at least, a nomination for the PwC All-Stars. Oulart-The Ballagh’s Shaun Murphy had his best season to date for the Yellowbellies at wing back, while Liam Og McGovern’s attacking prowess and his consistency was key to Wexford’s memorable year.

Meanwhile, St Martins’ Rory O’Connor has also been nominated for the ‘Young Hurler of the Year’ award, but he faces stiff oppositon with Kilkenny’s Adrian Mullen and Limerick’s Kyle Hayes also looking to take home the illustrious individual award.
