Dunbar Duplicates Last Week’s Performace With Another 1-04 From Play

Wexford Senior hurler Cathal Dunbar is in serious form at the moment for his college hurling team…

Dunbar, who plays his college’s hurling with IT Carlow, scored 1-04 from play last week to secure a win against UCD at Billing’s Park.

This week, Dunbar duplicated last week’s performance, scoring another 1-04 from play to steer his college team to victory against GMIT.

Naomh Eanna club man Dunbar had the biggest scoring impact on the game, with his goal coming just ahead of half-time, on the 28th minute mark.

Dunbar’s Wexford counterparts also found themselves on the scoresheet. Oylegate’s Seamus Casey scored three points from placed balls, while Rathnure’s Rory Higgins scored a point from play, meaning that Wexford made up a total of 1-08 from the the 1-16 to 1-13 win.

As the first round of the 2020 Allianz National Hurling League approaches, Wexford Senior huling manager Davy Fitzgerald will be keeping a close eye on Dunbar’s performances with the college team.
