Wexford 1996 All-Ireland winning manager Liam Griffin was speaking to JOE.ie recently…

If you’re missing the sporting action, it’s the perfect time to reminisce.

Liam Griffin was speaking to SportsJoe.ie recently and one of the topics of conversation was Sean Flood’s character.

Flood did not get to play the All-Ireland final in 1996, which opened the door for George O’Connor to feature on the big day.

Griffin speaks about his character, about his preparation before matches, and his dressing-room speech right before the All-Ireland hurling final against Limerick.

In other news, Irish television broadcaster TG4 will show Wexford’s Leinster final win against Kilkenny tonight . The programme starts at 8pm and it’ll be a great way to pass the evening as the lockdown restrictions remain in place.
