Wexford’s Club Hurling Fixtures Released, Round 1 Starts July 17th

Jeez, it won’t be long coming around now…

The pandemic greatly impacted the GAA’s already-condensed fixture schedule. The GAA were in a predicament. Just a few weeks ago, it didn’t even look like games would go ahead for 2020.

But now, fixture schedules have been confirmed across the country.

Wexford are the latest county to confirm their fixture schedule.

Wexford GAA have confirmed the fixtures for the first three rounds of the Wexford 2020 hurling championships. The football championships will take place following the hurling championships, and thus, the fixtures for the football championships have not been released yet. The football championship fixtures will be released on August 10th.

The first round of the hurling championship begins on July 17th with St Annes taking on Rathnure in Bellefield, and St Martins taking on Oulart-The Ballagh in Wexford Park.

It is expected that one of the opening games of the championship, the match between St Martins vs Oulart-The Ballagh, will also be broadcasted live on TG4.

The full fixture list for the first three rounds was released to the general public by Wexford GAA’s PRO PJ Howlin, which is now available below:
