New Video Scoreboard To Be Unveiled At Wexford Park On Saturday

The Leinster Senior Hurling Championship returns this weekend…

The Wexford vs Galway game takes place on Saturday 16 April at 4:30 pm in Chadwicks Wexford Park.

It’s the first game of the championship and a huge crowd of over 10,000 people is expected to turn up to cheer on Darragh Egan’s Wexford Senior hurling team in the crucial opening tie.

A new video scoreboard will be unveiled at Chadwicks Wexford Park ahead of the game.

On Tuesday evening, Wexford GAA confirmed that a new video scoreboard will be ready for the game.

“A new HD video screen scoreboard will be ready for the game. At 4pm, George Lawlor will sing Cúchulainn’s Son and the scoreboard will be used to display a video montage commemorating Nicky Rackard as well as advertisements in advance of the game,” a spokesperson for Wexford GAA said.

The news will come as a delight to many, as the scoreboard in the Park has been inconsistent, even at the best of times.

It comes also following the news that Bellefield had upgraded their scoreboard to an electronic one.
