Wexford had an impressive win against Offaly last weekend…
Up next for Shane Roche’s side is a home clash against Dublin.
Wexford will be up against it; few will give them a chance, but they will certainly take inspiration from last year’s performance, which saw them lose by eight points.
This time around, the gates to Chadwicks Wexford Park will be open to all spectators. This will add to the atmosphere, and with a big Wexford crowd expected to show up to cheer on the Yellowbellies, the task will not be made easy for the Dubs.
On the other hand, Dublin are set to welcome back sharp-shooter and their star man, Con O’Callaghan, to their team for their opening Leinster Championship clash.
O’Callaghan missed the Allianz League campaign which proved costly for the Dubs. This year, they were relegated from the Division 1 of the Allianz Football League.
His looming Leinster Championship return is not the news Wexford fans wanted to hear, but a Wexford win would prove even sweeter with O’Callaghan on the field.
The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Arena. As it’s on SkySports Arena, a live stream of the game is also available for those not attending and without a subscription to Sky Sports.
