Three Wexford Hurlers Named On The GAA’s Team Of The Week After Magical Displays Against Kilkenny

Not many people are talking about the result against Westmeath now...

That’s after Wexford produced one of their finest displays of hurling in a long time to defeat Kilkenny in their own backyard in a must-win game to keep them in the All-Ireland Championship for the 2022 season.

Three Wexford players have been named on the’s Team of The Week following an excellent team display against Kilkenny on Saturday evening.

The three Wexford hurlers that have been named on the team of the week are Damien Reck, Dee O’Keeffe, and Liam Ryan.

A number of other Wexford hurlers including Lee Chin, Paudie Foley, and Simon Donohoe could count themselves unlucky not to feature on the team, however, that’s probably the least of their worries after their win last weekend.

The full team can be seen below.

Darragh Egan’s Wexford Senior hurlers will now advance into the All-Ireland series where they’ll first play a preliminary round against either Antrim or Kerry.
