The new Wexford Senior football manager has been confirmed…
After Shane Roche stepped down from his position as Wexford Senior football manager, Wexford GAA were on the hunt for their new manager. And they have now found the perfect person.
Wexford GAA have confirmed today that Kilanerin native John Hegarty will be the new manager.
Hegarty enjoyed a lengthy career with the Wexford footballers and most recently, helped to guide the Shelmaliers to the Wexford Senior Football Championship.
Speaking on the appointment, Wexford GAA stated that:
“We are delighted to announce that we will be proposing John Hegarty as our new Senior Football manager for ratification at the County Committee meeting on 20 September 2022.”
Hegarty’s backroom team will be confirmed at a later date.
