A Garda enquiry has been launched after two bodies were found dead in Wexford this week…

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana confirmed the shocking news and stated that:

“Gardaí attended to a residence in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford on Monday, 14th November 2022 where a female was discovered deceased. Her body was taken to Waterford University Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Enquiries are ongoing,” the Garda spokesperson said.

The second woman was found dead in Gorey on the same day, Monday 14th November.

Speaking on the other incident, a Garda spokesperson said:

“Gardaí were alerted to the death of a female in Gorey, Co. Wexford on Monday 14th November 2022. A file will be prepared for the Coroner,” they said.

Gardaí have confirmed that the two deaths are not connected and that they will be dealing with both incidents separately.

Anyone with any information that may help with the investigation is urged to contact their nearest Garda Station.

Elsewhere, Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a man was discovered at the side of the road with serious head injuries. The man, aged in his early 20s, was involved in a hit-and-run incident in Gorey.
