Wexford FC’s Opening League of Ireland Game Is A Cracker

It’s a new dawn for Wexford FC…

With a new jersey, a new crest, a new website, a new manager, and new players, there is a lot of excitement building ahead of the new season.

They compete in the League of Ireland First Division, but if they are to build on the work of previous seasons under now-previous manager Ian Ryan, they will be aiming for promotion into the top tier this season.

It has been revealed today that Wexford FC’s opening game in the League of Ireland will be a South East derby game.

They’ll be taking on Waterford FC, at home in Ferrycarrig Park at 7:45pm on Friday, 17th February.

A derby game is always a nice game to start with – and they’ll be hoping to start off the season with a win.

The full list of fixtures are set to be released to the club’s on Thursday.
