Wexford Woman Will Be Leader On Operation Transformation For 2023

Some people are just born leaders…

And that may be the case for this Wexford woman, who will be representing the county on RTE’s 2023 series of Operation Transformation.

On Tuesday morning, the RTÉ show Operation Transformation announced that Lorraine Dempsey will be one the leaders on their show.

Lorraine is a primary school principal in Wicklow, but she lives in Ferns, Co Wexford, with her husband, Anthony, and their three children; Jack, Patrick, and Katie.

When revealing the news to her, she was surprised by host Kathryn Thomas at her work place.

Speaking after she was announced as the leader for the show, she said:

“I can’t believe it. Oh my god. It’s just been so busy in work. It’s for me and hopefully I can inspire some others on the journey. I’m actually in shock. My heart is going 90.”

“2023 is the year where I’m looking forward to prioritising my health and wellbeing making time for myself. 2023 is where I find myself again and enjoy making healthy choices with my family.”

She will join Stephanie Bowden, Andrea Daly, Thomas Hynes and two other leaders, who are yet to be announced, as the public leaders of this year’s show.

Operation Transformation will return to our television screens, on RTE1 on Wednesday January 4 at 9.30pm.
