RTE’s Jackie Tyrrell Expresses His Concern For Wexford Hurling

Wexford lost out to Galway in Salthill in the first round of the Leinster Championship yesterday…

Galway, who were at home, were victorious on a score-line of 0-24 to 2-12.

Speaking on RTE’s The Saturday Game last night, former Kilkenny hurler Jackie Tyrrell outlined his concern for Wexford hurling.

“I would be hugely concerned for Wexford. I would argue that the two goals that they got at the start to give them a bit of a boost were so soft. They were very sloppy and Henry (Shefflin) will be pulling his hair out over them. If they hadn’t of got them, this could have been a 10 or 20 point trimming. They’ve a lot to do,” the RTE pundit said.

Wexford will play Antrim next Saturday in the next round of the Championship. They’ll have Dublin in Croke Park, Westmeath at home, and Kilkenny at home in the final game.
