The nominations for the Wexford Footballer of the Year have been revealed…
The three nominations for the 2023 Wexford Footballer of the Year have been revealed. They include Eoghan Nolan (Shelmaliers), Páraic Hughes (Kilanerin) and Gavin Sheehan (Gusserane).
Meanwhile, three nominations for the 2023 Young Wexford footballer of the year have also been named. , The Young Footballer of the Year nominees are Rian Fitzpatrick (Naomh Éanna), Jack Higgins (Castletown) and Cian Hughes (Kilanerin).
Fitzpatrick is the only nominee from outside of the Wexford Senior Championship. The young Naomh Eanna man was instrumental throughout the year and was an influential factor in his side’s promotion to the top tier of the Wexford Football Championship.
Just like with the Wexford Hurling team of the Year, the Wexford football team of the year will take on a selection of the Wexford Senior Footballer in a challenge game ahead of their respective pre-season competition.
The football team will face John Hegarty’s Wexford side in Hollymount on Friday December 29th. The Wexford Glen Fuels player of the year will be revealed on this day when the Team of the Year will take on a selection of John Hegarty’s Senior Football side.
Meanwhile, the nominations for the Wexford hurler of the year and young hurler of the year have also been revealed too.
