Wexford player has been named the Gaa.ie’s hurler of the week

The Wexford hurlers played out a draw against Kilkenny in Nowlan Park last weekend

The teams could not be separated, with the final score read 2-16 apiece.

Wexford’s Conor Foley was nominated as one of the hurler’s of the week, alongside two others, namely Tipperary’s Jake Morris and Limerick’s Shane O’Brien.

It was Wexford’s full-back, Conor Foley, who received the most votes in the online public poll which has meant that he has picked up the award.

Along with a towering performance in the full-back line, Foley also picked up two points from play in a game where points were crucial.

Although it’s always nice to be recognised, Foley’s attention will be solely on Wexford’s upcoming match, where the Wexford Senior hurlers take on Offaly in Wexford Park.

Wexford take on Offaly in the next round of the Allianz Hurling League. You can read more about the team sheets, venue, tv station and more here.
