Incredible scenes as 10-man Wexford score in 93rd minute to secure win

Wexford FC took on Treaty United last night…

The game, which took place in Limerick, seen Wexford reduced to ten men. With ten minutes remaining, Wexford’s Zayd Abada was shown a second yellow card after fouling Evan O’Connor.

On the 93rd minute, with the games still tied at 0-0 apiece, up stepped Wexford’s attacker, Mikie Rowe.

Rowe’s initial shot hit off the post, but it rebounded nicely to him and on the follow-up, he calmly slotted the ball into the empty net and into Limerick FC’s keeper, and fellow Wexford man, Corey Chamber’s net.

With 1,436 people in attendance at the Garryowen venue, Rowe then celebrated with the travelling Wexford support who joyously broke out onto the field to celebrate with the Wexford man.
