A Wexford player has been ruled out for the entire season…
Jack Larkin, a midfielder with Wexford FC, has been ruled out for the season.
He hobbled off with an injury in their recent 1-0 defeat to Athlone Town.
24-year old midfielder Larkin requires reconstructive knee surgery, ruling him out of Stephen Elliot’s plans for the season.
Larkin only re-joined Wexford FC this season after playing with Cobh Ramblers in Cork for three seasons. In 2020 and in 2021, he made 15 appearances for Wexford FC.
Wexford FC are doing well this season, currently sitting in 3rd place of the Men’s First Division table, but Larkin’s injury will come as a significant blow to the team.
Wexford FC have won three out of four matches, with their most recent win coming against Treaty United after Wexford attacker, Mikie Rowe, shocked the Limerick crowd to score in the 93rd minute in Wexford’s 1-0 victory.
