Naomh Eanna, the reigning champions of 2018, were convincingly defeated by a gutsy Ferns St Aidans side on a scoreline of 1-21 to 0-12.
Ferns St Aidans now advance to the semi-finals and they’ll be eagerly looking on at the remaining quarter-final ties. Paul Morris, Ian Byrne and Johnny Dwyer and Benny Jordan were all exceptional for the Ferns side; it’s a Ferns side coming good at the right time of the championship, who won’t fear any team in the last four.
Whereas Ferns patienty await their semi-final opponents, Naomh Eanna will now turn to the Intermediate Football championship, with their eyes set on gaining promotion to the senior ranks and achieving the dual-senior club status.
