Date, Time And Venue Confirmed For Long-Awaited Intermediate Football Final

This felt like ages coming around, but we’re finally there…

Now, the date, time and venue for the Intermediate Football final has been confirmed. Bunclody defeated St Mary’s Maudlintown today on a scoreline of 2-09 to 0-09.

The closing of the Wexford IFC has been a long time coming around, with the weather conditions and unplayable pitches at Innovate Wexford Park forcing several reschedulings over the course of the past five weeks.

Bunclody, who recently lost out on promotion to the Wexford SHC to Cloughbawn, now find themselves in the Wexford Intermediate Football final, where they’ll face Crossabeg-Ballymurn next Saturday in the decider.

Date/Time: Sat November 9th at 2pm

Venue: Innovate Wexford Park

The winners of the game will earn promotion to the Senior ranks of the Wexford Football championship.

Unfortunately, we have been notified that due to the heavy fixture backlog, Wexford withdrew their representatives from the Leinster Intermediate Football Championship, and gave Mullinavat of Kilkenny a walk-over to the next round.
