Boost For Wexford Senior Hurlers Ahead Of Upcoming Season

You couldn’t begrudge a player of an opporunity to explore the world…

Especially when that player is one of the county’s first All-Star recipients in fifteen years, St Annes clubman, Dee O’Keeffe.

It was initially believed that O’Keeffe, who is currently travelling while on a career break from teaching, would miss most of Wexford’s 2020 hurling campaign.

It is now udnerstood however, that O’Keeffe will return for the start of the Allianz National Hurling League, and that he will not miss the championship.

Further to that, the Wexford People have reported that O’Keeffe, who is currently in Peurto Rico, will join up with the Fitzgerald’s Wexford hurling squad before the team embarks on a journey to Orlando, Florida.

O’Keeffe played a central role in leading his club team St Annes to a Wexford Senior Hurling final this year, a game they would eventually lose to local rivals St Martins.

St Martins will face Ballyhale Shamrocks this Saturday in Nowlan Park, the same day the Wexford Senior hurlers face Limerick in the New York Hurling Classic.
