A number of Wexford natives were involved with the DCU (Dublin College University) team, who were crowed Senior League champions this evening.

St Martins hurler Conor Firman excelled at wing-back, while Rory O’Connor and Oylegate-Glenbrien’s Damien Reck made up an all-Wexford midfield partnership. In attack, Shelmaliers clubman Conor Hearne started at wing-forward.

Several other Wexford natives were also represented on the match-day panel, including Duffry Rovers’ Liam Pender, Ferns’ Aidan Murphy, Cloughbawn’s Eoin O’Leary and St Martins’ Ben Maddock.

Other notable members on the DCU team from outside of of the county include Dublin representatives Paddy Smyth, Fergal Whiteley and Donal Burke, while Kilkenny ace John Donnelly also excelled in attack.
