Watch: Wexford Goalkeeper Scores Incredible Point In Colleges Hurling Match

A goalkeeper scoring from open-play is one of the sweeter things in hurling…

And a Wexford native managed to do just that in a recent college’s hurling match, when DCU were playing IT Carlow in the Division 1 Colleges Hurling League semi-final.

DCU came out victorious on a scoreline of 2-18 to 2-17 after extra-time, with the help of an incredible score from Crossabeg-Ballymurn club-man, Oisin Foley.

Oisín, a younger brother of Wexford Senior hurler Paudie Foley, will not only be delighted with the fact that the glorious point was caught on camera, but he’ll be happy with DCU’s hashtag choice too.

DCU will play either UCC or Mary I in the League final, and they’ll then look forward to the Fitzgibbon Cup, which usually commences in Janruary.
