Wexford Native Signs For League Of Ireland’s Waterford FC On Loan Spell

Another Wexford football native is heading out on loan..

Wexford native Kevin O’Connor will join Waterford FC on loan.

The news was announced today via the club’s official website.

“I’m delighted to be back, Waterford is a massive club, and I’m over the moon to be finally back playing in the RSC. I started out my senior career here when I was 17 so, for me, it’s massive to get to come back to play again,” O’Connor said.

O’Connor, a defender, was on loan at Cork City last season from his parent club Preston North End, who play in the Championship in England.

The news comes after Ryan Delaney, a former New Ross and Wexford FC player was recalled to Rochdale from his loan spell at AFC Wimbledon.
