Full time:
Wexford 2-29
Carlow 1-11

As expected, Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford team cruised to victory against Carlow today at Wexford Park.

One of the biggest talking points came in the second-half with the introduction of Ferns St Aidans club-man, Paul Morris, after he scored seven points in his first twelve minutes on the field.

Carlow were reduced to fourteen men in the second-half and what was already an uphill battle, seemed almost an impossiblity following that sending off.

Meanwhile, in other group news, both Clare and Kilkenny emerged victorious over Dublin and Laois respectively. It means that Wexford will play in the quarter-final stages of the Allianz League, however, their opponents are yet to be confirmed due to a backlog of fixtures in the other division.

Wexford’s Allianz League quarter-final will take place in two weeks time.
