Shelmaliers Crowned Wexford Senior Hurling Champions For 2020

The Shelmaliers have been crowned Wexford Senior Hurling Champions for 2020…

The Shelmaliers are the new Wexford Senior Hurling champions after they defeated Naomh Eanna of Gorey on a scoreline of 3-18 to 3-11.

Wexford inter-county player Simon Donohoe collected the cup for the Shelmaliers, while Shelmaliers player Ross Banville was awarded the man of the match award after a stellar performance.

Glen Malone, Sean O’Keane-Carroll, Conor Hearne and Joe Kelly all played excellent for the Shelmaliers. The better team won on the day and the Naomh Eanna men will have no complaints.

Considering that just a few weeks ago it wasn’t looking like that any club championship could be accommodated for this year due to the Coronavirus, it was great to see the 2020 Wexford hurling championship completed during such unprecedented times.

Attention in Wexford now turns to the football championships.
