Over 100 schools across the Republic of Ireland have issued statements regarding the Covid-19 situation in their schools…
A national school in New Ross, Wexford, is one of the latest schools to join the list.
On behalf of Ballyhack National School in New Ross, the HSE issued a letter to the parents of children in the school, dated 14th September.
The letter noted that anyone who was deemed a close contact had been notified and that all protocols have been followed by the school.
Those who have symptoms of Covid-19 are encouraged to contact their GP, to restrict their movements, and not to attend school.
Another positive Covid-19 case was confirmed in a seperate school in Wexford and Wexford Weekly has reached out to that school for further clarification.
In times like this, it’s important that we do not stigmatise those with Coronavirus. It’s also important to remember that businesses and schools are trying to operate with the virus despite its prominence in society — and no business, school, or person wants to get it.
These really are extraordinary times.
Editor’s Note: Information about schools with a positive Covid-19 case should be public knowledge. The Government will not publish this information publicly.
