New Electoral Data Shows Gorey Is Hot-Spot For Covid With Significant Infection Rate

New data released by the Department of Health on Ireland’s Covid-19 Data Hub shows that Gorey is a hot-spot for Covid-19…

Covid-19 cases have once again been broken down to Local Electoral Areas and this data is released weekly.

The newest data reveals that Gorey is a hot-spot for the Coronavirus, not just in Wexford, but it’s now one of the highest across the Republic of Ireland as shown via the map below.

From the 29 September to 12 October, Gorey had an infection rate of 533.8 per 100,000. This compares to the national average of 206.7.

From the same time period, Gorey had 146 cases, which is significantly higher in comparison to its neighbouring towns and counties.

Enniscorthy – 35
Wexford – 6
Rosslare – 13
New Ross – 12
