Former Moyne Rangers Player Makes Debut For Wayne Rooney’s Derby County

A former Moyne Rangers player made his debut this evening…

Former Moyne Rangers player Festy Ebosele made his first-team debut for Derby County this evening. Derby County currently play in the Championship and are managed by English and Manchester United football legend Wayne Rooney.

This evening, Ebosele made his debut after he came on as a 64th minute substitute against Chorley. Unfortunately, Derby went on to lose 2-0.

His former club in Enniscorthy released a statement:

“Congratulations to former Moyne Rangers player Festy Ebosele on making his 1st team debut for Derby County today in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Making his return from a 3 month injury, Festy showed his potential when introduced and hopefully he can finish the season strongly and break through and cement his place in Wayne Rooney’s squad.”

“Well done today Festy and all the best from everyone associated with our club,” the club said.

It’s a great achievement for the young Wexford man and here’s hoping that the name Festy Ebosele will become a regular in the Derby County team-sheets.
