The Paul Carthy managed Wexford Ladies Footballers suffered a comprehensive loss to Tyrone today in a relegation play off.

The Wexford Ladies Footballers lost to Tyrone on a score-line of 11-7 to 0-11.

Catriona Murray scored six points for the Yellowbellies, but Tyrone’s in-form corner-forward Niamh O’Neill proved to be a menace in attack, scoring 3-06 for the Tyrone ladies.

It means that Wexford will compete in the Division 3 next year, while Tyrone have retained their Division 2 status.
