A pride event will take place in Wexford town on Saturday…

Wexford activist group ‘Wexford Pride’ are hosting a Pride event on Saturday.

A ‘Pride Picnic’ will take place this Saturday, August 21st, in Wexford’s Redmond Park.

A number of Ireland’s top drag queens will also be there to tell some stories to the attendees at the event.

The organisers have encouraged all to attend, adhering to current Covid-19 guidelines.

“Wexford Pride are delighted to finally announce the next Pride Event for the South East. Join us for an afternoon of fun, drag and music,” they said.

Ahead of the Picnic in the Park, Robert Crookes, the Secretary at Wexford Pride stated that it’s a perfect date for the diary:

“This weekend make a date for your diary and head to Wexford, and celebrate Wexford PRIDE with a Picnic in the Park. You will meet such beautiful and fabulous people, to say nothing of enjoying a really awesome day in a terrific location,” he said.
