Two Wexford Attractions Win National Awards In The ‘Best Gardens’ Category

Two Wexford attractions have picked up national awards…

The 2021 Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Awards night took place on Friday.

The Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality are well-known food and hospitality writer’s annual awards, and have been taking place annually for 23 years.

Two Wexford destinations have picked up national awards in the ‘best gardens and garden stays’ category.

Kilmokea Country Manor & Gardens, located in the Campile area of County Wexford picked up an award for the best ‘country house and heritage garden’.

Meanwhile, Marlfield House, located in Gorey, picked up the top award in the ‘Boutique hotel and gardens’ category.

Following the announcement, a spokesperson for Marfield House stated:

“The team here at Marlfield & The Duck are delighted to receive this award, especially this year . Thank you so much to Ireland Guide for this very special accolade.”

Georgina Campbell is amazing. She keeps us all motivated by encouraging & supporting new & innovative ideas both large & small, from cottage industry to 5 star, modern to traditional. The guide actively seeks out and support all types of quality establishments serving good food ,beverages & accommodation all around our island of Ireland,” they stated.

It’s safe to say that many more Wexford destinations could have easily been placed into these categories, but we’ll take the two wins.
