Former Wexford Selector Takes Over Senior Inter-County Team

A former Wexford selector has moved into management…

It has been confirmed that Stephen Molumphy has taken over the Kerry Senior hurling team for the upcoming season.

Molumphy teamed up with Fitzgerald in 2018, and the former Déise star helped to guide the Yellowbellies to their first Leinster title since 2004.

After Wexford’s Leinster final success, Waterford’s Stephen Molumphy departed Wexford’s backroom staff, and he took up a role in his home county of Waterford under the new reigns of Liam Cahill.

Molumphy, who was highly regarded in Wexford, was ratified as Kerry Senior Hurling manager following this evening’s county board meeting.

It’ll be his first stint as a Senior inter-county manager.
