But, that dream is alive for Enniscorthy native, Festy Ebsosele.
Ebosele plays under Wayne Rooney at Derby County in the English Championship. He played an important role in last night’s game and drew praise from the Manchester United legend:
“Second goal, great drive from Festy. I felt if I could get him on the right and high up the pitch, that’s what he brings,” Rooney said following the game.
He played a crucial part in Derby’s second goal. Ebosele went on a mazy and direct run late in the second half to help set up and secure a 2-0 result for the Rams.
