Both Wexford and Waterford will take on each other tomorrow…
The teams will face each other in the Allianz Hurling League. It’s a semi-final of the competition, with the winner will facing either Cork or Brian Cody’s Kilkenny in the final.
There is a nice hype around the county leading up to the derby clash between Wexford and Waterford. Wexford have not won silverware in the National League since 1973, but after some fine results in the competition to date, 2022 has now afforded them a great opportunity.
Wexford have not lost a game in this year’s Allianz Hurling League competition, while they’ve also tested out younger players under their new manager, Darragh Egan. Along the way to reach tomorrow’s semi-final, Wexford defeated the likes of All-Ireland champions Limerick, Clare (away), Galway (away), Offaly (home), and Cork (home).
On the other side of the group, Waterford have won three of their games, losing one and drawing the other with Dublin.
Despite the fact that Wexford have not lost a game in this year’s Allianz League competition, they will enter the game as underdogs. Waterford are favourites to win this one at 8/15, while Wexford can be secured at a price of 15/8. For those who think the teams will not be separated at the full-time whistle, a draw can be got at 9/1 at the major Irish bookmakers such as Paddy Power or Boylesports.
Tickets can be purchased online. They must be purchased in advance. Those interested in travelling to the game can purchase a ticket at GAA’s Official Ticketmaster site, with adults tickets costing €20.
