Wexford Senior Footballers Decide Their New Captain And Vice-Captains

The Wexford Senior Footballers are back in training in the lead up to the O’Byrne Cup…

The pre-season will allow new manager, John Hegarty, to sample his panel before the commencement of the Allianz Football Leagues.

Hegarty has previously mentioned that Wexford will be focussing primarily on gaining promotion in the League for 2023.

With a new manager, there will also be a new captain and two vice captains.

Liam Coleman from Castletown GAA Club will captain the side for the season.

The two vice-captains for the Wexford Senior Football panel are Eoghan Nolan from the Shelmaliers and Eoin Porter of Rathgarogue-Cushinstown.

Wexford’s fixtures for the upcoming O’Byrne Cup can be found here.
