The Wexford Senior Footballers are back in action on Wednesday evening as their GAA season recommences…
The new Wexford Senior Football manager, John Hegarty, has named his side for the opening clash in the O’Byrne Cup.
They will take on Kildare in Piercestown at 8pm.
Meanwhile, Glenn Ryan and his management team have named their side for tomorrow evening’s opening game.
For those who cannot attend the game, the Clubber website has a package available to allow fans to watch all of the pre-season January Leinster GAA action for €39.99. It will cost €11.99 to stream a single match in the Walsh Cup or the O’Byrne Cup.
Tickets for the game must be purchased online. They can be purchased via Universe for €10.
Hegarty will be hoping to get the campaign off to a positive start. Given that he has previously stated that Wexford will primarily focus on Division 4 of the League for 2023, it’s important that they build up some momentum in these games too.
Wexford will then take on Westmeath away in Round 2, pencilled in to take place on Sat Jan 7th, The Downs GAA Club, 2pm. In the third round, Wexford will play Louth at home on Wed Jan 11th, Hollymount, 8pm.
